Those who study political theory refer to positive and negative rights. What they are referring to is entitlements and unalienable rights. Or handouts vs. your right to be left alone. In this podcast I look at the difference between the two and how leaders are often confused that they have authority over both. The recent focus on law enforcement and the legal system in this nation has shown that many in government and the media have no concept of either. It is imperative that rights are exercised by every citizen in order to ensure that government does not get the idea that they have authority over rights.
